About Residential
TWG is strongly committed to maintaining a variety of work. Our residential portfolio ranges from multifamily developments (both for the private market and for non-profit affordable-housing developers) through college dormitories to single-family houses (both built-for-sale and custom-designed for individual clients). Our experience in all of these types includes new construction as well as rehab/renovations and additions.
We were founded in 1983 as a two-person partnership to undertake several industrial projects. As the practice developed, we took on a variety of projects including commercial, single-family residential and multifamily.
TWG provides design that’s built on the everyday needs of clients.
Values
We believe in involving the client in our work – in providing alternative solutions and through using sketches, formal drawings, models and renderings to communicate. We provide services at all levels of the design process: from programming through site alternative analysis through design and construction drawings, bid and construction phase services.
Our extensive background enables us to bring substantial design concepts to projects in spite of real-world constraints on time and budget.
TWG offers design built on trust and concern for the actual needs of clients inhabiting the spaces we create.
Experience
Our residential portfolio ranges from multifamily developments (both for the private market and for non-profit affordable-housing developers) through college dormitories to single-family houses (both built-for-sale and custom-designed for individual clients). Our experience in all of these types includes new construction as well as rehab/renovations and additions.
Our staff are all directly involved in architectural work. We assemble specific design teams for each project, with a principal architect and a project manager/designer who are typically involved from concept through the close of construction. We include a variety of consultants for each project, specifically selected to match project and client needs. We find that when we are clear with clients about the level of effort their projects require, we can keep our labor rates competitive.
Our extensive background enables us to bring substantial design concepts to projects in spite of real-world constraints on time and budget.
TWG is known for its wealth of experience and professional expertise in executing design that meets the needs of clients.
